Each piece by Alex Robinson is hand-crafted in the UK.

Beginning life as a paper model, Alex establishes the scale and size of each piece before working with local craftsmen to create a mould of her design, from which a resin form is made and layers of white plaster slicked to its surface with a palette knife to create texture and interest.

how we work

We work with master plasterers in England, where our range of lighting is hand made to order. The lights are made of a plaster combination to ensure a robust structure, the mix is poured into our moulds and left to dry. Wet plaster is then applied with a palette knife to create an impasto texture to the surface of each light. Finally the lights are sanded down and finished in a bright white water based emulsion.
Each light is fitted with chocolate coloured silk braided flex and antiqued brass metal, made in England.

The plaster material has a chalky soft appearance, which, combined with the angles and ‘wobble’ edges, create a contemporary yet hand textured quality. We believe our range of plaster lighting offer a sculptural yet functional piece for your home.

The Wobble Table lamp combines our signature plaster wobble shade with a beautiful hand turned iroko lamp base, made by skilled woodworker Dominik von Bohlan in his Sussex workshop
